Favourite Artist

Musically, not visually, my favourite artist of all time is Ben Folds. His music just speaks to me. I definitely love his nerdy pop-rock stylings and the fact that he once called Australia home.

The songs you wrote
Got me through a lot
Just wanna tell you that

Weekend Let Down

Sigh. The boyfriend's car blew up Friday so that meant no Currumbin Rock Pools on Saturday. -Insert a sad face here- Just chilled. Watched Bruno. Hilarious.

On an unrelated topic. Don't you think it's strange that the Health Minister has been admitted into hospital yet again. Maybe he should lose 100kgs then he might be the right candidate for the job.

Until next time

My posts are just useless and boring.

Sigh. What a Drag.

Job hunting. Could it get anymore fun? I think not. Especially when barely anywhere is hiring. At least I've been called for an interview with Telstra on Tuesday. And no, not in a call center. Fingers crossed I get the gig. I desperately need the job.

Tomorrow = Currumbin Rock Pools with my man and cousin. Love it there. May even take photos this time instead of stealing them off Google.

Until next time

Low Maintenence

Have you ever realised how much more fun it is to stay at your loved one's house and just chill out and watch movies than to go out to the movies or dinner. Not only is it cheaper, but you can act like complete idiots. Last night we partook in a poke fight. I lost. But his arms are a million times longer.

No Sleep for the Wicked

What an eventful night it was last night. I was designated driver (DD) for the evening (up until about 9pm), which I was completely fine with. My Brisbane friend was down for the night and we decided we wanted to do Ladies Night in a Surfers club - Sin City. We met my cousin - who has only lived on the Coast for a week - at her house. They both had a few to drink then I drove to Southport Sharks because apparently the footy boys had training. They didn't. I was forced to become a member of the club because I lived within a certain distance of the place. But it's all good, members get sick deals. The girls had a drink each before we decided to grab some food and drinks and go back to mine till about 9.

The girls had a few at mine, I was still DD so no drinks for me. Left mine at about 9 and drove into Surfers to have a good night. Ladies night = free drinks + entry for the ladies. Great deal, right. We've all had a few to drink but I wasn't feeling in the mood for drinking anything (stopped drinking at 10 and only had 3 drinks) so I just mingled with random guys as I get along better with guys. Was sweet. Met some real top blokes. Chatted to one for about 3-4 hours. Was nice to chat to someone who wasn't going to hit on me because I have a boyfriend - most boys can't take that as a reason to stop. 4-4:30 comes around and I can not find my cousin anywhere. Toilets? No. D-Floor? No. Bar? No. In the corner with some fella? No. Outside? No. Beach? No. And there was no way I could contact her as I had her phone, smokes, money, etc. I'm freaking out that I've lost my cousin. Pulled an all nighter. Hit Surfers again in the morning, did a lap of the place, just to see if she was there, wandering about. Of course she wasn't. Drove over to her place and she wasn't there either. FUCK. Where could she be? Still freaking out. Log onto Facebook an hour ago and found she was online - phew. She went home (without letting us know or taking her stuff) with an Irish fireman, but doesn't remember meeting him or going back to his. So, I've been up since 8am yesterday and am feeling great. Tiny bit tired, but apart from that I feel fantastic.

Currumbin Rock Pools

The day that was Saturday I had a huge argument with one of my closest friends from my old town. I was in tears all Saturday and then again on Sunday morning. My boyfriend, being the wonderful person he is, decided to drive me out to Currumbin Rock Pools on Sunday afternoon to make me feel better. I had never been there before and I was absolutely blown away at how gorgeous it was. Up in the mountains, in a rainforest-like environment, tucked away are the most beautiful naturally formed rock pools where you can swim in the fresh mountain water or, if you are feeling courageous enough (I wasn't. He was) you can climb up the rock walls and jump off little landing things. Most definitely one of the best, peaceful days in my life.
